David Henrie


We all know David Henrie as Justin Russo on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, always saving his little sister, Alex from the trouble she gets herself into misusing magic. David Henrie grew up in Arizona and is the brother of actor Lorenzo Henrie. He comes from a large, Roman Catholic family. At the age of 6, David signed with a SAG agency located in Phoenix, Arizona, and immediately started going out on auditions. When he was nine years old, during a commercial shoot in Scottsdale, a director suggested that he move to Los Angeles. That summer, at the age of 10, the Henrie family relocated to Hollywood, where Henrie booked his first two national commercials, playing principal roles in spots for Burger King and Quaker Oats. In 2002, Henrie booked his first two guest starring appearances on the television series Providence and on the premiere episode of Without a Trace. In 2003, at age thirteen, Henrie landed the role of Petey Pitt, a regular role on the FOX sitcom, The Pitts. Next, he landed a leading role in the Hallmark movie Monster Maker. Also in 2003, he made his Disney Channel debut playing Larry on That’s so Raven. In 2005, he landed another recurring role on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother . At the age of 18, David got the role of Justin Russo in the Disney Channel Original Series Wizards of Waverly Place, costarring Selena Gomez. The show first aired in October 2007, and became an instant hit. It is currently in it’s second season, and The Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie is due to be released on Disney Channel in August 2009. In July 2009, Disney Channel is releasing a one episode mix of their top three television series- Suite Life on Deck, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Hannah Montana,titled Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana, where the Russo’s take a vacation upon the S.S Tipton.
