David Letterman was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on April 12, 1947. Dave has been a national host since the early 80s. He catapulted from doing the weather in the 70s to trying his hand at comedy after a sad divorce with his first wife and wound up writing for various TV shows. He is the hosts of Late Show with David Letterman.
