- Born: August 20, 1992
Five foot two Demi Lovato was born in 1992 in Dallas, Texas. She is an actress, songwriter, and musician. Her mother was both a country singer and a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. Demi has two sisters, an older sister named Dallas, and a younger sister named Madison.
Demi’s career began at the ripe young age of six when she was cast as Angela on the children’s show Barney and Friends. While acting and singing on the show, she happened to meet her best friend, Selena Gomez. Demi is also friends with another Disney star, Gomez’s fellow Wizards of Waverly Place costar Jennifer Stone, whom she also met on Barney.
She moved on to be featured on an episode of Prison Break, the pilot episode of Split Ends, and Just Jordan. In January 2007, Demi was cast as Charlotte Adams on the Disney Channel original short series As The Bell Rings.
Demi became known to the world on June 20, 2008, when she starred as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers. This film became a worldwide phenomenon and shot Demi to superstardom. Also in the summer of 2008, Demi opened up for the Jonas Brothers Burnin’ Up Tour.
In September 2008, Lovato released her freshman album, Don’t Forget. Due to the success of the album, in the summer of 2009, Demi will be headlining her own national tour with American Idol season seven runner-up David Archuleta as her opening act.
Demi stars in Sonny with a Chance, a Disney Channel Original Series which aired in February 2009. She plays Sonny Munroe, who becomes the new cast member of So Random!, a comedy show. It was announced in June 2009 that the show has been picked for a second season.

Demi has stood up for what she believed in and has stayed strong when she was in rehab. She has bounced back for rehab and produced her new album called unbroken :) So well done Demi. My role model!

My favorite Demi Lovato song is “Together” because it talks about everyone coming together looking past all the physical differences and realizing that inside we’re all the same and to throw away all the hate people give us. Because of this song and God I am starting an orgainzation called “THROW AWAY THE HATE” to stop bullying. Also I’m holding an event at my school on October 13 to raise awareness about bullying. This song has changed my life for the better and made me realize i can and will change the world.
