Djimon Hounsou was born April 24, 1964, in Cotonou, Benin. He is an Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated actor who is best known for his critically acclaimed performances in the films Gladiator, In America, Amistad and Blood Diamond. In 2007, Djimon was featured in an ad campaign for Calvin Klein Underwear. He began dating Kimora Lee Simmons that same year, and in 2009, the couple had a son, Kenzo Lee Hounsou.
