Don Knotts


Don Knotts was born Jesse Donald Knotts on July 21, 1924, in Morgantown, West Virginia. The legendary comedic actor is best known for playing Barney Fife on the beloved 1960s sitcom The Andy Griffith Show from 1960 to 1960; his performance earned him five Emmys. Don also played Mr. Furley in the hit sitcom Three’s Company from 1979 to 1984, and appeared in many classic comedy movies, including The Shakiest Gun in the West, No Deposit, No Return and The Apple Dumpling Gang. Don was married three times and had two children from his first marriage. He died in 2006 from complications related to lung cancer.
