Elisabeth Shue was born October 6, 1963, in Wilmington, Delaware. She is an Oscar-nominated actress who is best known for her starring role in the critically acclaimed 1995 film Leaving Las Vegas. Elisabeth began her career appearing in commercials for companies such as Burger King, De Beers diamonds and Hellman’s Mayonnaise. She has also starred in films such as The Karate Kid, Adventures in Babysitting, Cocktail, Back to the Future Parts II and III, The Trigger Effect, The Saint, Palmetto and Hollow Man. Elisabeth married director Davis Guggenheim in 1994, and they have two children together.
