Ethan Hawke

Unfairly handsome Ethan Hawke amused with his enthusiastic wonderment as a kid who serendipitously traveled to space and hung out with aliens and River Phoenix in Explorers (1985), impressed as an eager and principled student in Dead Poets Society (1989), helped define the grunge world view alongside Winona Ryder in Reality Bites (1994), and knocked back the doubters with his Academy Award-nominated role opposite Denzel Washington (who won the Oscar that year) in Training Day (2001). But when he allegedly cheated on Uma Thurman (reports linked him with a Canadian model), with whom he had two kids, Ethan's shine seemed to tarnish, except to the couple's former nanny, with whom Ethan has started a fresh family. The multi-talented dabbler wrote a decently-received book of fiction in 2003. In the first chapter, Hawke's narrator crassly states, 'I never had any trouble getting laid.' Born on  November 6, 1970, in Austin, Texas, Ethan apparently never had any trouble either.
