Antonino Giovanni Ribisi was born on December 17, 1974 in Los Angeles and is the twin brother of actress Marissa, who starred in Dazed and Confused and is married to singer Beck. Giovanni began his career in the mid-1980s, landing guest roles on a number of television shows such as Highway to Heaven, My Two Dads and Blossom. His career began to pick up steam in the 1990s, with supporting roles in the films That Thing You Do!, The Postman and Lost Highway. Giovanni received critical acclaim - and found himself on the cover of Vanity Fair - with his role in the Steven Speilberg drama Saving Private Ryan in 1998. That same year, he got nationwide exposure as the dim-witted brother of Lisa Kudrow's 'Phoebe Buffay' on the sitcom Friends. Giovanni has gone on to appear in such films as The Mod Squad, Gone in Sixty Seconds and Flight of the Phoenix. His recurring role as ex-con 'Ralph' on the comedy series My Name is Earl earned him a 2007 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. Giovanni has a number of films in the works and it appears his busy career will need no saving.
