Jake T Austin


You probably know Jake T. Austin as the witty Max Russo, the youngest of the three siblings on the Disney Channel series The Wizards of Waverly Place. Jake was born in New York City on December 3, 1994 to Giny and Joey Szymanski. He landed the role in the Nick Jr Animated series Go Diego Go in 2005 playing the voice of Diego, who is Dora the Explorer’s cousin. In 2006, he landed another voice over role in the film The Ant Bully, providing the voice of Nicky. In 2007, Austin made his mark with Disney Channel. Not only did he land a part in the TV movie Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board, but he also earned his break through role as Max Russo, the youngest of three siblings in a family of wizards on the Disney Channel Original Series The Wizards of Waverly Place costarring David Henrie and Selena Gomez. The show is currently in its second season, and has become such a phenomenon that in August 2009, Disney is releasing a Disney Channel Original Movie, the Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie. In the film, Alex Russo wishes their parents had never met and the wish came true. Now, Theresa and Jerry Russo no longer know who each other are or who their children are. Now, the three siblings need to embark on a long and dangerous journey to find a special stone in order to reverse the wish. In 2009, Jake had a starring role in the big screen film, Hotel for Dogs as the role of Bruce.
