Former Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards was exposed in 2007 for having an extramarital affair with his former campaign worker, Rielle Hunter, with whom he fathered a child. He was later indicted on six felony charges, and was found not guilty on illegal use of campaign funding. Mistrials were declared on the remaining five counts.
