Every girl wishes they could go to work every day with a guy like John Krasinski. His sweet, shaggy-haired paper salesman Jim Halpert has made The Office a Thursday night TV staple. Born and raised in Boston, John Burke Krasinski (born on October 20, 1979) went to high school with B.J. Novak, a fellow Office cast member and now one of the show’s producers. John attended Brown University where he studied playwriting and graduated with honors in 2002. After a stint at the National Theater Institute in Waterford, Connecticut, John made his way to the Big Apple seeking fame and fortune.
John’s first gig was as an intern for Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He joined the Dunder Miflin team when the American version of The Office debuted in 2005. In addition to making the ladies swoon as Jim, John has made guest appearances on Without a Trace and C.S.I. The big screen, of course, has beckoned and John has answered in Jarhead, License to Wed and the recent Leatherheads, opposite George Clooney and Renee Zellweger. Plan to be further impressed with John, as his directorial debut, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, is scheduled for release later this year.
