Kimora Lee Simmons was born May 2, 1975, in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a model, fashion designer and entrepreneur. Kimora began modeling at the age of 13, modeling for designers such as Chanel. She married Russell Simmons in 1998, and they had two daughters together, Ming and Aoki. They separated in 2006 and finally divorced in 2009. She is the head of her own fashion line, Baby Phat, and was a judge on the first season of America’s Next Top Model. In 2007, she began appearing on the reality show Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, which showed her life as a mother and businesswoman. She began dating actor Djimon Hounsou in 2007, and the couple welcomed a son in 2009.
