Kristin Cavallari Bio

Even though she's not originally from the O.C. (she was born in Denver, Colorado), the name Kristin Cavallari has become synonymous with the California lifestyle, thanks to an MTV reality show that started a sensation. Kristin, born on January 5, 1987, moved to the Chicago suburb of Barrington with her mother when her parents split. She wasn't able to deal with life with her stepfather and stepbrother and moved to Laguna Beach, California, to live with her father and older brother. She attended Catholic high school during her freshman year, but transferred to Laguna Beach High School after making friends through a driver's ed class. During her junior year, MTV camera crews descended upon the school to film the new reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. The relationship between Kristin, her then-boyfriend Stephen Colletti and rival Lauren Conrad became the focal point of the show, which was a ratings success for the cable network.

After Laguna Beach ended its run in 2005, Kristen went on to make guest appearances on Veronica Mars and Cane and hosted the UPN series Get this Party Started, which only lasted for two episodes. Her sun-kissed, beach blond looks have landed Kristen in a number of magazines, including Maxim, Blender, Rolling Stone and Teen Vogue. Kristin is hoping to find success on the big screen with The Green Flash, Spring Breakdown and Wild Cherry. Is stardom still a reality for Kristin?
