Lance Bass


Lance Bass was born May 4, 1979, in Laurel, Mississippi. He is a singer and dancer best known as a member of the boy band ’N Sync. Lance joined ’N Sync in 1995 after Justin Timberlake’s mother asked him if he would be interested in joining a boy band. They experienced much success during their time together, selling millions of CDs and releasing hit songs such as “I Want You Back,” “Bye, Bye, Bye” and “Gone.” Before the group parted ways in 2003, Lance starred in the film On the Line with fellow ’N Sync member Joey Fatone. Lance also expressed interest in becoming an astronaut, claiming it was a childhood dream of his. In 2006, Lance came out as a gay man and released a book entitled Out of Sync in 2007. Since opening up about his sexuality, he has dated men such as Reichen Lehmkuhl, Pedro Andrade and Ben Thigpen.
