Lionel Richie

Bio

Lionel Richie was born June 20, 1949, in Tuskegee, Alabama. He is a singer and songwriter whose hit songs include “Hello” and “All Night Long.” He is also the father of Nicole Richie. From the 1960s until the early 1980s, Lionel was a member of the group The Commodores, who released songs such as “Brick House” and “Three Times a Lady.” He then embarked on a solo career; his solo albums include Can’t Slow Down and Dancing on the Ceiling. Lionel was married to Brenda Harvey from 1975 until 1993, and they adopted Nicole Richie. He then married Diana Alexander in 1995. They had two children together before divorcing in 2004.
