Mark Ronson


Music producer Mark Ronson has become one of the most in-demand names in the business today and the list of artists lining up to work with him continues to grow. Mark was born on September 4, 1975 in London, England and grew up around music - his stepfather is Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones. When he was eight, his family (including sister Samantha) moved to New York City. Mark attended Vassar and NYU and worked as a DJ in New York's hip-hop club scene. His reputation grew and he soon was hired for gigs by the likes of Puff Daddy and Tom Cruise. Mark moved on to producing and released his first album, Here Comes the Fuzz in 2003. The album featured such artists as Nate Dogg and Ghostface Killa, and despite critical raves, didn't sell well. His second album, 2007's Version was a monster hit in the UK and won mark a BRIT award for Best Male Solo Artist. Mark is best known in the US for the artists he's worked with, most notably Christina Aguilera, Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse. His work on Amy's breakthrough album Back to Black won him three Grammys, including Producer of the Year. With his ear for music and proven hit making skills, Mark is sure to remain one of the busiest producers in the music industry.
