For five decades rock 'n' roll legend Mick Jagger has been satisfying audiences, and once he's started up, he's never been able to stop. Michael Phillip Jagger was born on July 26, 1943, in Dartford, Kent, England. He received a scholarship to the London School of Economics, but any aspirations of a career in accounting went right out the window when he met guitarist Keith Richards. Although he never had any musical training, Mick began to perform with Keith and the legendary band The Rolling Stones was born. The Stones have had 32 top ten singles, 43 top ten albums and have sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. Their hits, such as '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction,' 'Let's Spend the Night Together' and 'Brown Sugar' are still staples of classic rock radio, their concert tours are still sell-outs and the band has received rock's greatest honor, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mick's distinctive dancing style - often imitated but never duplicated, prominent lips and gorgeous female companions have kept fans around the world captivated. In addition to being the epitome of a rock star, Mick is also an actor, appearing in films such as Performance, Ned Kelly and Freejack as well as a film producer. His production company Jagged Films is behind the star-studded remake of the classic film The Women. Even though he is in his 60s, Mick Jagger remains one of the busiest and most energetic performers in the world.
