Paul Rudd

With roles in some of the funniest movies of the last decade, actor Paul Rudd has become the guy every girl wants to be with and the guy every other guy wants to be. Paul Stephen Rudd was born on April 6, 1969 in Passaic, New Jersey. He was raised in Overland Park, Kansas. and attended college at the University of Kansas, where he majored in theater. He later graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and participated in a three-month intensive workshop at the British Drama Academy at Oxford University in England. After taking small roles in a few films and TV shows and starring on the short-lived sitcom Wild Oats, Paul got his big break in 1995's Clueless, playing stepbrother to Alicia Silverstone. He went on to star in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet. He established himself as a standout comic actor in The Object of My Affection with Jennifer Aniston and 200 Cigarettes, in which he is romanced by Courtney Love. He also excelled in dramatic roles in films like The Cider House Rules and The Shape of Things. As the 2000s wore on, Paul continued to take on funnier and funnier roles, with his unforgettable turn as studly, 'Sex Panther' cologne-wearing reported 'Brian Fantana' in Anchorman with Will Ferrell and the unlucky in love 'David' in the smash hit The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Although Paul continues to keep busy, his roles in the films from Judd Apatow are among his best - from Knocked Up to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, his comic turns always steal the show - and he's sure to keep us in stitches for a long time to come.
