Penn Badgley

Thanks to his role as Gossip Girl's resident hunk Dan Humphrey, everyone's buzzing about Penn Badgley. Penn, named, believe it or not, after the tennis ball, was born on November 1, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland. He wedged his foot in the door of the entertainment business doing voice overs for video games, including Mario Golf 64 and Mario Tennis 64. Audiences first glimpsed Penn on the sitcom Will & Grace in 1999. Penn went on to guest appearances on What I Like About You and had a small part as Scott Tucker, Jesse Metcalfe's kid brother, in the big screen comedy John Tucker Must Die. Penn's big break was on the soap opera The Young and The Restless in 2000. He received a Young Artist Award in 2001 for his role as Phillip Chancellor IV. His biggest success to date has been as the beau of Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively on the CW drama Gossip Girl. Rumors of an off-screen romance between Penn and Blake have been buzzing since the show premiered in 2007. Their lips may be sealed, but Penn is giving audiences something to talk about.
