Peter Facinelli

Peter Facinelli was born in the Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens, NY and grew up in a large Italian-American family. He went to school at St. Francis Prep in Fresh Meadows, NY and studied acting at the Atlantic Theater Acting School in Manhattan, where his mentors included William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman. He made his film debut in 1995 as a devil in “Angel.” From this he expanded his resume and went on to have roles in films such as “Riding in Cars with Boys,” “The Scorpion King,” and the 1998 teen oriented comedy “Can’t Hardly Wait.” Some of his television credits include “Six Feet Under” and “Law and Order.” In 1996, Facinelli met his wife, Jennie Garth while filming “An Unfinished Affair.” They married in 2001 and live in Los Angeles with their three children. Although he could have easily fallen into a nice-guy Hollywood stereotype, he refused to be limited to one type of category or role. This became one of his trademarks. In 2007, the actor returned to the small screen, appearing in “Damages” starring Glenn Close. In the meantime, Facinelli was still very active on the big screen, appearing in the 2006 sci-fi thriller “Hollow Man 2” and the comedy flick “Finding Amanda.” In 2008, he appeared in the Vampire Drama “Twilight” as Dr. Carlisle Cullen. The sequel, “New Moon” is due out in theaters in November.
