From supermodel to superstar wife, Rachel Hunter has had a beautiful career - so far. Born on September 9, 1969 in Auckland, New Zealand, Rachel stared her modeling career in 1986 at the age of 17, when she was signed by prestigious New York modeling agency Ford Models. She became the face of cosmetics company Cover Girl and graced a number of magazine covers including Cosmopolitan and Elle. In December of 1990, a then-21-year-old Rachel married Scottish rocker Rod Stewart, who was 24 years her senior.
After sharing the 1994 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover with Elle Macpherson and Kathy Ireland, Rachel decided to expand her horizons and take acting lessons. She made guest appearances on shows such as Mad About You, The Drew Carey Show and Suddenly Susan, and went on to prominent roles in a number of independent films. She has also appeared on a number of reality shows - both here and in the UK - including The Real Gilligan's Isle (taking on the role of 'the movie star') and the first season of Dancing with the Stars. She also starred as the ultimate 'MILF' in the video for the Fountains of Wayne hit 'Stacy's Mom.'
Although her marriage with Rod didn't work out, she has two children from their union, which officially ended in 2005 (although the pair had been separated since 1999), Renee (born in 1993) and Liam (born in 1995.) Rachel continues to model, returning to grace the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2006 along with her peers including Rebecca Romijn and Carolyn Murphy. Just like the character she played in that music video, Rachel has still 'got it going on.'
