Reese Witherspoon was born March 22 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is an Oscar-winning actress whose first major film role was in 1991’s The Man in the Moon. In 1998, she appeared in three major movies: Overnight Delivery, Pleasantville and Twilight. In 1999, she starred in the movies Cruel Intentions and Election, the latter of which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. In 2001, she starred as Elle Woods in the hit movie Legally Blonde, and in 2002, she starred in Sweet Home Alabama. In 2005, Reese portrayed June Carter in the biopic Walk the Line, for which she earned both the Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Actress. From 1999 to 2007, Reese was married to actor Ryan Phillippe, with whom she has two children. After that, she dated Jake Gyllenhaal, but they split in 2010.
