Richard Dreyfuss


Richard Dreyfuss was born October 29, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York. He is an Oscar-winning actor who is best known for the films American Graffiti, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Goodbye Girl, Stakeout, Always, What About Bob? and Mr. Holland’s Opus. In 1977, he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Goodbye Girl. He was later nominated in the same category for Mr. Holland’s Opus. From 1983 to 1995, he was married to Jeramie Rain, with whom he has three children. From 1999 to 2005, he was married to Janelle Lacey. His third wife is Svetlana Erokhin.
