Robert Blake was born Michael Gubitosi on September 18, 1933, in Nutley, New Jersey. He is an actor who is best known for playing Perry Smith in the 1967 film adaptation of In Cold Blood, and for playing the titular character on the 1970s cop series Baretta. Robert started his career as a child actor, appearing in many of MGM’s Our Gang shorts in the early 1940s. As an adult, he appeared in numerous motion pictures, such as The Purple Gang, Pork Chop Hill, Town Without Pity, Ensign Pulver and The Greatest Story Ever Told. From 1961 to 1983, he was married to Sondra Blake.
