Robert Duvall


Robert Duvall was born January 5, 1931, in San Diego, California. He is an Oscar-winning actor and director whose best-known films include The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, The Great Santini, Tender Mercies, The Apostle and A Civil Action. Robert has been nominated for six Academy Awards, winning Best Actor for his performance in 1983’s Tender Mercies. He has also been nominated for six Golden Globes, winning four. Robert has appeared in more than 130 films and TV shows. His career started when he began appearing in theater productions in the late 1950s. His early films included Captain Newman, M.D. and the beloved classic To Kill a Mockingbird, in which he played Boo Radley; after that, he went on to have more prominent roles in films like MASH, Network, True Confessions, The Natural, Colors and Gods and Generals. He also starred in the hit TV miniseries Lonesome Dove, The Man Who Captured Eichmann and Broken Trail. Robert has been married four times. From 1964 to 1975, he was married to Barbara Benjamin. From 1982 to 1986, he was married to Gail Youngs. From 1991 to 1996, he was married to Sharon Brophy. He has been married to fourth wife Luciana Pedraza since 2005.
