Rudy Giuliani

Bio

Rudy, a.k.a. Rudolph, Giuliani was born May 28, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001. Rudy switched to the Republican party in the ’80s and served in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. He eventually became the U.S. Attorney and prosecuted a number of high-profile cases against organized crime and Wall Street financiers. He attended Manhattan College and then moved on to the New York University School of Law. Rudy served two terms as Mayor of New York City and ran for the United States Senate in 2000, but withdrew after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. He gained national fame for his leadership after the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center. Rudy ran for the Republican Party nomination in the 2008 Presidential election. Though he led the polls in 2007, his camp began seeing negative ratings, so he pulled out in 2008. Rudy has been married three times and has two children. He married his third wife, Judith Nathan, in 2003.
