Sean Connery


Sean Connery, a.k.a. Thomas Sean Connery, was born August 25, 1930, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is an Oscar-winning actor best known for playing the suave British secret agent James Bond in six of the Bond films. Sean broke away from the character and in 1987 starred in blockbuster film The Untouchables as veteran Chicago cop Jimmy Malone, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Sean’s first major film was 1957’s No Road Back, after which he worked consistently. In the course of his long career, he has starred in dozens of big-budget movies, including Hitchcock’s Marnie, Highlander, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, The Name of the Rose and The Rock. In 2000, he was knighted by the Queen. Sean married actress Diane Cilento in 1962, and the couple has a son, Jason, who is also an actor. Sean and Diane divorced in 1973, and Sean got remarried in 1975, to Micheline Roquebrune. The couple has been together ever since.
