Shawn Johnson was born January 19, 1992, in Des Moines, Iowa. She is a gymnast who is best known for winning four Olympic medals at the 2008 Beijing Games—a gold medal for Women’s Balance Beam, a silver medal for Floor Exercise and a silver medal for Individual All-Around. She also won the silver team medal. In 2007, she was named the all-around world champion in the sport after winning three gold medals at the World Championships in Stuttgart. Shawn competed on the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars.
