Snoop Dogg


Snoop Dogg, a.k.a. Cordozar Calvin Broadus, was born October 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California. He is a rapper who is known as the best West Coast MC since Tupac Shakur. He broke onto the scene by collaborating on Dr. Dre’s album The Chronic, most notably on the 1993 megahit “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang.” In 1992, Snoop Dogg released his debut album, Doggystyle, on Death Row Records. It went quadruple platinum with its hits “What’s My Name” and “Gin & Juice.” Snoop Dogg married Shante Taylor, his high school sweetheart, in 1997. The two divorced in 2004 but got back together in 2008. Aside from making popular music, Snoop Dogg has been credited with popularizing the suffix “izzle.”
