Tim Gunn

'Make it work!' is a national catch phrase due to the kind and well-humored delivery of Project Runway on-air mentor Tim Gunn. Gunn, born July 29, 1953, in Washington, DC, is beloved for guiding Project contestants with equal parts panache and compassion. His pre-TV qualifications include Chair of the Department of Fashion Design at Parsons New School from 2000 to 2007. As of March 2007, the dapper gray fox makes it work as Chief Creative Director at Liz Claiborne, and also hosts his own reality show, Tim Gunn's Guide to Style.
