Page Six reports that celebrities looking to supplement their 2008 incomes are signing up to host an assortment of New Year’s Eve parties on both coasts—and on one distant continent.
Heiress hellions Paris Hilton, 27, and Nicky Hilton, 25, are off to Sydney, Australia, to host the Bongo Virus New Year’s Eve party. Sounds contagious.
But the recession is hitting even Louis Vuitton pocketbooks. Informed estimates say the Hilton sisters won’t receive quite as much as the 500K they made last year hosting a bash in Las Vegas.
Speaking of Vegas, Denise Richards, 37, of Denise Richards: It Could Be Cancelled fame, will be ushering in 2009 at Prive in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. This job could earn the cash Denise needs to keep alive her endless divorce and custody battles with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
And finally, on the eastern side of the country—look for lady lovers Lindsay Lohan, 22, and 31-year-old Samantha Ronson.
This in-demand, same-sex celebrity couple reportedly had their pick of parties to host. They went with Mansion in Miami.
Meanwhile, there are still a few high-profile party people not yet engaged for the big end-of-year blowout.
They may show up at a cut rate, but don’t expect them to be responsible for their actions.
