CFDA Awards Are Fashionably Great

Victoria Beckham has apparently forgiven her buddy, Marc Jacobs, for his recent joke on her in the name of fashion, as she is seen here by his side at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards held at the New York Public Library.

The skinniest Spice Girl took to the stage, along with Eva Mendes and Maggie Gyllenhaal, to announce the Best Womenswear Designer award, which went to Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa.

The recent passing of fashion giant Yves Saint Laurent was on the minds of all in the room, and CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg kicked off the event by paying tribute to the Parisian designer. "Yves was an artist who always surprised us," she said, dressed in a vintage YSL pantsuit. "He used to say he wanted to be Matisse, but I think Matisse would have wanted to be him."

Menswear Designer of the Year went to Tom Ford, and Tory Burch took the accessories category in her first ever nomination. The Lifetime Achievement award was bestowed upon Carolina Herrera, who graciously said, "Thank you, New York, for opening up your arms to me. I love you all."

Statues are all well and good, but we know you're really wondering everyone was wearing.
