Channing Tatum: Sinking His Teeth Into Eclipse?
Is Channing Tatum ready to Step Up to the Twilight franchise?
E! Online reports that Twilight and New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is pulling for the Stop Loss actor to fill the role of vampire Riley in the upcoming sequel Eclipse, the script for which Rosenberg is currently penning.
“There’s a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well,” Rosenberg offers. “There are some complexities to that character. [Riley] really is tragic. He’s a puppet for Victoria. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”
Rosenberg also offers good news for RPattz fans; while the Twilight sequel New Moon—currently filming in Vancouver—will suffer from severe Edward Cullen deficiency, Eclipse will more than make up for it.
“In the book, he’s actually an enormous presence in [Bella’s] mind,” Rosenberg reassures. “He’s so present in her mind throughout the entire center of the book, so we really played off that, and it kept him alive in a slightly different way, but fans will feel it’s true to the book. You can’t have a Twilight without Rob Pattinson.”

no. i pictured Riley as a boy who could easily get pursuaded by Vicorita, and I don’t think Channing would convince me or anyone that he could do the part right. He’s good as fighting, don’t get me wrong, but that’s not all Riley has to do in Eclipse.
PLEASE NO!!!! Channing is awful mediocre actor…..it will definately pull for a cheesy movie if you add him

i thought riley was about 17 years.. or at least thats how i imagined him..but channing is a really good actor so i hope he gets the role

He’s not that bad of an ctor but i don’t think of channing tatum when i think of riley in eclipse.riley is described as young and persuaded easily. i don’t think channing tatum could pull it off but he would look good as a vampire.

Are you serious? He so couldn’t pull it off he would totally ruin the movie. First hes ugly with big sticky out ears and second he looks like hes around 30 isn’t Riley supposed to like 16. If they cast him it will be the worst thing ever!!!!! Aaaaaah i would die. Please come to your senses man and don’t cast Channing Tatum as Riley.
