Charlie Sheen to Be Charged with Felony for Christmas Day Assault

One and a half men plus a convict?

TMZ reports that actor Charlie Sheen is set to be charged with criminal counts of felony menacing and misdemeanor assault for his Christmas-morning knife-hunt of wife, Brooke Mueller.

The serious nature of the charges could spell actual penal justice for the hit-television actor with a sordid history of charges of dangerous behavior in regard to his romantic partners:

1990, Charlie Sheen’s then girlfriend, actress Kelly Preston, injured her arm as a result of gun shot ricochet.  Sheen claims he wasn’t even in the room at the time, but that Preston picked up a pair of his pants and a small gun fell out of the back pocket, hit the floor, and accidentally fired off.

1996, Sheen pleads no contest to battery charges for throwing his porn star girlfriend to the ground and bloodying her lip.

In 2006, Sheen’s wife, Denise Richards, filed a restraining order against Sheen during their divorce proceedings, claiming that he had threatened to kill her.

Meanwhile, while Charlie is set to be arraigned on Monday, wife Brooke is going to court to ease the restraining order the court placed on Charlie following the Yuletide assault.

Apparently, she wants the two to be back together.  Just one big happy family.

This might be the time for Brooke to look up the definition of insanity.
