Charlie Sheen Hospitalized After 'Allergic Reaction' to Meds
Actor Charlie Sheen was rushed to the hospital earlier this morning after he was reportedly found drunk and naked in a New York hotel.
The Two and a Half Men star was staying at New York's famed Plaza Hotel with ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters. Denise and children were staying in a separate room. The family was in town to promote Denise's new show Blue Mountain State.
According to the New York Post, Charlie flew into a rage after he discovered that his wallet and cell phone were missing after a night out with an unidentified woman.
The paper says cops went to Charlie's room at 2 AM where they allegedly found the actor drunk and naked amid a "trashed" hotel room. TMZ reports that the unidentified woman had locked herself in the bathroom of the hotel room. The website claims that police allegedly gave Charlie two options: go to the hospital or jail. Charlie went to the hospital.
Charlie's rep confirmed this morning the actor was taken to the hospital after an allergic reaction to medication.
In a statement, Charlie's rep said, "What we are able to determine is that Charlie Sheen had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to be released tomorrow."
According to a NYPD spokesman, there was no arrest and Charlie will not face any criminal charges.
This has been a difficult few years in Charlie's personal life. He recently pleaded guilty to assault following an arrest for domestic violence after a Christmas Day fight in Aspen, CO with his then-wife Brooke Mueller. He was able to cut a deal and avoided jail time by checking himself into rehab for 30 days. Brooke and Charlie divorced earlier this year.
