Check Out Kate Middleton’s Engagement Ring!
You've already heard the news of Prince William and Kate Middleton's engagement, now see the ring!
Kate and William posed for their first official post-engagement announcement photos on Tuesday at the State Apartments of St. James Place in London, England.
As the pair grinned from the cameras, Kate flashed her massive sapphire and diamond engagement ring – the same ring that William's father, Prince Charles, gave to his mother, Princess Diana, on February 24, 1981.
"It’s very special to me. As Kate’s very special to me now, it was right to put the two together," William said as the two faced the cameras for the first time.
The heirloom ring is made of a large oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds. Princess Di had selected the nearly $60,000 ring when she became engaged to Charles. Diana reportedly picked the ring because it mimicked her own mother's engagement ring.
Although William proposed to Kate last month, she hadn't been photographed with the ring until Tuesday.
