Cher to Play Catwoman to Christian Bale's Batman?

According to British publication the Telegraph, Cher is the top choice of The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan to play the role of Catwoman for the next Batman installment—not Angelina Jolie, as had been previously reported.

At the ripe age of 62, the singer and actress will be the oldest woman to take on the role that has been played by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.

Granted, Cher's multiple plastic surgeries have made her drum-tight visage appear quite feline over the years (hers is not exactly a "new new face"), but this still seems like one of the more bogus rumors on the Internet. With The Dark Knight breaking box office records, Nolan doesn't need to rely on stunt casting for ticket sales.

Then again, perhaps real-life Catwoman Jocelyn Wildenstein is available. Talk about some method acting...
