Chris Brown Banned From The UK
Chris Brown has been banned in the UK. Well, sorta.
The “Forever” singer has been denied entry into the UK based on his 2009 felony assault conviction after he brutally beat former girlfriend Rihanna during an argument in his car. An official reported that the UK banned Chris as a safety concern due to his criminal past:
We reserve the right to refuse entry to the UK to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offense. Public safety is one of our primary concerns.
Chris was sentenced to community service and five years of probation following his assault conviction in 2009. As a result of his UK ban, he has had to cancel at least six concerts which were expected to begin on Wednesday.
A tour promoter says that the shows have been postponed “due to unforeseen circumstances.” In response to the news a glum Chris tweeted: “U ever feel like the storm clouds are too thick for any sunshine to get through?”
