Chris Brown won't be doubling his pleasure, doubling his fun, or doubling his bank account with Wrigley's Doublemint Gum anymore.
The gum company Wrigley has suspended the 19-year-old's endorsement deal with them, following allegations that he assaulted singer/girlfriend Rihanna over the weekend, OK! Magazine reports.
"Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown," a statement from the company reads. "We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved."
Brown entered into the agreement with Wrigley last year. In August, an ad featuring Brown dancing to his hit single "Forever" while chomping gum debuted.
That's not the only bad news for Brown, who turned himself in to police yesterday. E! Online reports that the R&B star won't be introducing the players at this weekend's NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix this weekend either.
Brown was slated to make the introductions with Phoenix Suns baller Shaquille O'Neal on Sunday, and also to play in Friday's All-Star Celebrity Game. But an NBA spokesperson stated today, "Chris Brown has withdrawn from NBA All-Star events."
In light of Brown's recent legal troubles, his recent appearance on The Tyra Banks Show is particularly ironic. On the episode, Brown revealed to Banks that his mother had suffered domestic abuse, and the experience had made a strong impression on him.
"I had somebody that hurt my mom, and me having to deal with that from the age of 7 to, like, 13. Me seeing that was [like] visual abuse," Brown revealed. "I never want to go through the same thing, or put a woman through the same thing that my mom went through."
Tell us what you think in the comments section: Should Wrigley's and the NBA distance themselves from Brown, or are they rushing to judgment?

i think everyone is jumping the gun, no one was there and it is all alleged. I think its a real shame that a black man whose making a name for himself in the industry is so quick to be judged for an infringment that no one has all the facts to go on. :onestly no one wanted to beleive that
I saw this commercial just this morning.
A black man? how about Michael Phelps... he got caught smoking pot and his endorsements dropped him. Its 2009 its not about color anymore its the fact that Wrigley does not want to have someone represent their company who may or may not have done something illegal, it makes Wrigley look bad.
i totally agree with comment123 i mean hello we hav a black president itz not about color anymore... he turned himself in 2 the police 2 doesnt that tell u something i mean i understand wat u think macc but seriously itz nott about color anymore!
dont be stupid, turning himself in is not an admission of guilt
I Feel that both sides of the story should be heard. if you werent there you really dont kno what went on their should be no judgement put on Brown. Rihanna could be just as wrong as Brown
