Chris Brown and Rihanna Duet: New Details

Mar 12, 2009 at 5:30pm

As earlier reports suggested, Rihanna and Chris Brown have indeed recorded a duet together, and new details have emerged about the song itself, according to People magazine.

Brown, 19, and Rihanna, 21, recorded the track with producer Polow Da Don, who confirmed the session to the magazine.

“My heart goes out to both Chris and Rihanna for what has happened in the past,” says the Atlanta-born producer, who’s worked with Ludacris, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Fergie and Usher, says of his latest clients. “They are both great artists to work with, and I wish them well.”

According to a source, the song is “sweet and sentimental” but nonetheless “expresses the challenges of a love relationship.”

Sounds like the song was written from hard-earned experience. Brown is currently facing two felony charges after allegedly beating Rihanna during a February 8 incident. Though Brown is still awaiting his court date, the pair reconciled after spending time together at the Miami-area compound of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
