Christina Aguilera Is in Lady GaGa Denial

Christina Aguilera's collection Keeps Gettin' Better—A Decade Of Hits was exclusively released through Target stores this week. The best-of will be available in all retail and online music outlets next week.

The singer, 27, has been travelling across the globe to publicize the retrospective set. While celebrating her past hits, Aguilera is eagerly looking forward to the future path her music will take.

"The direction I’m going musically now is completely different," Christina tells the Los Angeles Times music blog Pop & Hiss. "It’s rewarding for me to be able to know that I have this material to release and that the fans have backed me through all the changes."

Then the topic turns to Aguilera's current look resembling new pop sensation Lady GaGa.

"You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago," says Aguilera. "I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect."

Lady GaGa's Interscope album The Fame dropped only two weeks prior to Aguilera's. Should Christina make time to give it a listen?

I like GaGa but 4 ppl 2 think Christina stole her look is retarded. Why and how could Christina know about a club singer from the opposite coast?? If you guys didn't know GaGa didn't always look like that she had brown hair & was compared 2 Amy Winehouse so who REALLY is the jocker here?

But the main person she rips off is Roisin Murphy who has been doing that look for awhile and does it way better. Lady Gaga is a cheap K-mart version of Roisin Murphy. It's funny that you can blog on Aguilera ripping off Lady Gaga's style. But yet when it comes to Lady gaga ripping off others like Roisin you can't be bothered to blog about it. You chose to ignore it as if it isn't true. When hello there's proof. So why don't you start calling out Lady Gaga for her stealing other people's style and claming it as her own.

I don't think she would be in the realm of copying to many people. Either way I like the style no matter who it 'belongs' to. I will say Lady Ga Ga looks better in it than Christina Aquilera any day.

you are an idiot. back to basics was a number one album in 14 countries, sold over 500,000 albums in its first week, and sold 4.5 million overall... thats 4 times platinum. and her keeps getting better album, which was ONLY sold in target, sold 500,000 albums.
