Christina Aguilera is apparently hoping that the birth of her son will lead to a rebirth of a nation.

The “Dirrty” girl turned domestic diva will be appearing in an ad for the Rock the Vote campaign this summer, holding flag-swaddled son Max Liron as she croons “America the Beautiful” to the infant.

Preempting accusations of child exploitation, Aguilera noted that “it’s inevitable [Max] will be subjected to some amount of press,” so it’s preferable that the exposure support a good cause, the Los Angeles Times reports.

“This election in particular is such an exciting and historical one,” she added, “and so I was proud to have my son and I stand together for such a powerful moment and message in time.”

Good for you, Christina! Just don’t be surprised if Michelle Malkin calls your kid a traitor and demands he be locked up in Guantanamo for wearing the American flag inappropriately.
