Jessica Simpson debuted her new "I'm country, y'all!" genre switch at the Country Thunder USA festival in Randall, Wisconsin, on Saturday. The audience wasn't feeling it completely, according to Kenosha News online.
Dressed in her Daisy Dukes, she performed new songs off her upcoming country album, including her hit "Come On Over." Hit it may be, but several members of the audience had an issue with Jessica's prescence.
"I just don't hear the country in her. She's not good enough to be here," said an audience member.
"It's crap," said another country fan.
"I don't know what your perception is of Jessica Simpson or what tabloid you buy," Simpson said, "but I just want you to know that I'm just a girl from Texas; I'm just like you. I'm doing what I love and dating a boy."
This is good, because country fans don't really identify with single lesbians stuck in dead-end jobs.
