Courteney Cox and David Arquette to Adopt as Therapy?
Former Friends star Courteney Cox has insisted that divorce is not an option in her marriage to David Arquette.
And now, having seen the breakup of Medium sister-in-law Patricia Arquette‘s union with The Punisher actor Thomas Jane, Courteney and David are ready to take steps to keep their family intact.
David wants a sibling for the couple’s daughter, Coco, 4, according to the National Enquirer. The proud parents can certainly afford another child, but Courteney is now 44 years old. Sources say that she has balked at the idea of undergoing in vitro fertilization again.
The Bedtime Stories actress reportedly suffered several miscarriages before bringing Coco to life. “Courteney’s reached a point where she feels it’s hopeless to keep trying to get pregnant,” said the magazine’s source.
Cox and Arquette, 37, met on the set of the 1996 Wes Craven spoof Scream and were married a year later. In late 2008, Courteney took on a major role and devoted much of her energy to the upcoming ABC series Cougar Town. David is said to have begun partying on the town without his wife, resentful that she initially resisted his desire to adopt.
“But now that Courteney’s given the OK to adopting a brother or sister for Coco, David has agreed to scale back on nights out and be more accommodating to Jen,” confided the friend.
Maybe the Cox-Arquettes can adopt a baby in tandem with one of their old friends!
