Courtney Love Has a Problem With Jews

Jan 16, 2009 at 6:30pm

Courtney Love has been accused of being many things. An unfortunate dresser. An incessant loudmouth.

But Kurt Cobain‘s widow has evaded charges of anti-Semitism. Until now.

The former Hole ma’am granted an interview for the Winter issue of Heeb magazine and, as often happens when she opens her yap, a firestorm of controversy has ensued.

The 44-year-old—whose mother, Linda Carroll, is Jewish—all but claimed that she was being robbed blind by an international cabal of Zionists.

“Every time you buy a Nirvana record, part of that money is not going to Kurt’s child, or to me, it’s going to a handful of Jew loan officers, Jew private banks, it’s going to lawyers who are also bankers,” Love claimed.

Egads; has Love fallen under the influence of some of her Malibu neighbors

But while the New York Post—who, presumably, are in on the conspiracy—took Love to task for her comments, Heeb blogger Joshua Neuman rushed to the rock diva’s defense.

“Like it or not, but the simple fact remains: This is how Jews talk to Jews,” Neuman writes. “Since our Winter Issue hit newsstands last month, we’ve been told time and time again (not just by my parents) that our interview with Ms. Love was the most flattering portrait of her ever painted—that she never seemed so likable, so sympathetic.”

Courtney Love has been made to seem likable and sympathetic? Might that, in fact, be the real conspiracy?

Sound off in comments.
