Courtney Love Says Robert Pattinson is Too “Silly” to Play Cobain
Everybody can take a deep breath now; the rumors that New Moon heartthrob Robert Pattinson will be playing grunge icon Kurt Cobain in an upcoming movie are false.
Courtney Love has thoroughly shot down reports that she was eyeing R-Pattz to portray her deceased husband on the big screen, pooh-poohing,
“Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him? No offense…I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenaged girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn’t that silly?”
Perhaps not as silly as wearing a turtle on your head, Courtney, but yeah—point taken.

i don’ get it why there are so many girls (probably underage) attracted to him…i’ve seen him in twilight he just had one look nothing more . It’s probably because i don’t like the movie but i don’t like his acting
and come on Kurt is my idol XD
if Robert plays Kurt i’d be scared that he’ll start sparkling (joke)
but i would not take the movie seriously
I feel like he has/had the potential to be an amazing actor if he just built it up slowly and got a feel for the business before having a lead in a big, well-done movie. Twilight should have been one of those stepping stones but the fangirl popularity made it way huger than any movie of that quality should have been. I know it’s got its fans, but come on. Regardless of how good the books were, the movie kind of sucked.

That woman has always been revolting. I wouldn’t want him anywhere near her. God only knows what horrible diseases he could contract just by being within ten feet of her.

You should take a look at some of his other work before making up your mind about a brilliant young actor. Try ‘Remember Me’ or ‘Little Ashes’
I like Rob but he is all wrong for the part of Kurt Cobain.
I am happy. Rpatz is a good lookin dude I guess, but he doesnt have the talent to pull off playing Kurt Cobain without looking like a total douche. See Remember Me and tell me he can play a strung out rockstar. he could barely play an upset teenager. poor guy. he is good looking though.

You either watched Remember me and were in a daze throughout the whole movie, or you’re just talking outta your ass. I think I’ll go with the latter. His character Tyler Hawkins was a 22 years old college student not an “upset teenager”. He is somewhat aimless in life and guilt strickened over his brother’s death. He also has an estranged relationship with his dad because his dad neglects his sister. And also RP is not just good looking, he has talent and is honing it by working with a bunch of talented, veteran actors and directors in his post-twilight movies.

I loved Courtney’s music back in the day and have tried to be supportive of her music even though her craziness contributed to Kurt Cobain’s death (imho) but she is very wrong to call RPatz “silly” and disparage him. He’s channeled James Dean very successfully in Twilight and New Moon and did a great job in “Little Ashes.” It seems to me that in the Twihard universe the little girls love Taylor L and women are digging on Rob. I hope he continues to grow as an artist in acting and music.
Courtney is just getting revenge because Rob would not date her daughter that she kept pushing into his face. I would say she is the one that is silly and letting everyone know it. Rob would be good in the part just like he is in every part he has played.
SHE SHOULD BE GLAD @ LEAST ONE PERSON GIVES A RATS….
Rob pattinson opposite actress scarlett johanson she would out act him & rob would look even sillier than he do already.
