Dakota Fanning: Officially In ‘New Moon’
It’s official folks! Dakota Fanning will star in New Moon!
After weeks of speculation, Summitt Entertainment just announced, via email to Twilight Movie subscribers, that the fifteen year old actress will play the evil vampire Jane in the upcoming sequel to the smash hit Twilight.
The email, entitled “Dakota Fanning Joins New Moon,” reads, “Acclaimed actress Dakota Fanning has officially joined the cast. And will play fan favorite Jane in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”
Dakota has definitely been expanding her acting resume as of late. She recently played a controversial role in Hounddog, and is reported to be in talks to star alongside co-star Kristen Stewart in an upcoming Joan Jett and the Runaways biopic.
New Moon is currently filming in Vancouver, Canada, and is set to be released on November 20, 2009.
OMG!!! im soo happy its finally official. She is a perfect Jane! hopefully New Moon is going to be better than Twilight! i cant wait for it to come out!!

Fantastic!! She is the only one I pictured playing Jane when I was reading the books and to have it official only makes me more happy! She and Kristen have history together – “Cutlass” – and now to do The Runaways together – how much better can that be? AWESOME!!!!!!

I know its going to be a while, but I can’t wait to see Breaking Dawn when Bella glares at Jane when Jane realizes that Bella is blocking her from using her powers on anyone. That is going to be awesome!

There are only 2 stars in Twilight that is Robert and Kristen everyone else is secondary. And Fanning is the very last.
LOL. I don’t think Dakota’s mother would like ne very happy about that, Twilightdreamer. She seemes really worried about her daughters fame, because they must the bests, or course …

She is too adorable now. Plus it’s nice to see a child actress to grow up and remain respectable. What a great role model she is. And her sense of style has really been impressing me as of late. Consider me jealous of her wardrobe.
