Radar Online reports that former Baywatch stud David Hasselhoff has been placed under involuntary psychiatric hold at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, after suffering a seizure that was apparently spurred by a days-long bender.

Hasselhoff was hospitalized on Friday after suffering the seizure, which was reportedly proceeded by several days’ worth of serious imbibing. He was placed under psychiatric hold under the California Welfare Institutions Code 5150, which is generally reserved for subjects who are considered to be a danger to themselves or others. Per the code, the Hoff will be held for up to 72 hours and will undergo psychiatric observation.

The incident marks the latest chapter in Hasselhoff’s long, public battle with the bottle. In October, the America’s Got Talent judge was hospitalized in London after going on a drunken tear and clocking a doctor, while earlier this month he made headlines for getting into a drunken altercation with a senior citizen at the Cascade Casino in Canada.

Well, we certainly know what Hoff’s talent is.
