Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez Take Toronto

With Camp Rock co-star Demi Lovato in tow, the Jonas Brothers kicked off their North American "Burnin' Up" tour in Toronto over the 4th of July weekend. But first they stopped traffic downtown to do a fan meet-and-greet.

"They don't forget who they are and they're very humble and they've gone through so much and through all the changes," said one 14-year-old. "I've been a fan for, like, two years."

This Jonas craze is shaping up to be a national phenomenon. Droves of tweens are traipsing cross-country to meet the trio of heartthrobs.

"They're just, like, amazing singers and, like, their music is so good and they're so good-looking," added another 14-year-old, who taped cut-out pictures of the brothers to her cheeks.

Also along for the ride was Lovato's BFF, Wizards Of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez. She didn't perform, though. She was probably just thinking of ways to bump off Miley Cyrus.

Fans began lining up as early as Tuesday for the afternoon question and answer session on MuchMusic. The Jonas Brothers‘ performance in Toronto marks the kickoff of their North American Tour.

At the Q&A session, they were asked about how they stay grounded in difficult situations. “The way you come through a situation,” said Kevin, “is how your true character is tested.”

The band’s North America tour wraps up on August 31 with a show in Burlington, Vermont.”
