Demi Lovato's Family Will Visit Her in Rehab on Thanksgiving
Demi Lovato won't be home for Thanksgiving—but she will have the next best thing.
People magazine reports that the 18-year-old Sonny With a Chance star—who checked herself into rehab earlier this month after allegedly getting into a physical altercation with a backup dancer on the Camp Rock 2 tour—will be spending Turkey Day with her family, when they visit her at the treatment facility she's currently staying at. According to Lovato's rep, her folks will "be there to celebrate Thanksgiving with her."
While earlier reports hinted the Disney star was hoping to be released from rehab in time for Thanksgiving, her rep adds that Lovato will be remaining in rehab to focus on her recovery:
"She remains committed first and foremost to her treatment. Demi has made tremendous progress to date, but understands that she has more work to do."
No word on whether Demi's estranged birth father Patrick Lovato, with whom she recently reconnected, will be part of the gathering.
